In writing this report and presenting it to the UN committee, we learned and applied the lessons of our previous experience in 1997. We base our work on our direct familiarity with our field of research and with the population of Palestinian women, and rely on our success as non-Government field organizations which carry out projects for the advancement of the status of women.
By translating this report into English and publishing it as a book, we hope to expose as broad a segment of the public as possible, as well as local and international institutions, to the situation of the Palestinian women in Israel, and accordingly to develop tools which will enable that situation to change.

 

We hope that, in so doing, we have made a qualitative contribution to supporting the long journey in which our non-government organizations are still based.
